Pace-Setting CEO & Public Safety Leader
About Murphy Robinson
From Law Enforcement to Leading Innovation in Public Safety Tech
I’ve built my career solving complex problems where others saw dead ends—whether in public safety, startups, or city government. Today, I serve as the CEO and Co-Founder of SurePass, a Colorado-based security tech startup creating the first law enforcement ID verification tool of its kind.
Prior to founding SurePass, I launched Seca Secure, scaling it into a multimillion-dollar security firm in less than two years. My work has earned recognition from Titan CEO, the Denver Business Journal, and more.
Before entrepreneurship, I held leadership roles at the highest levels of city government, including Deputy Mayor, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Director of Public Safety for the City & County of Denver—leading 15,000 employees and managing over $2 billion in budgets.
Whether launching a startup, responding to civil unrest, or leading public health infrastructure during the pandemic, my approach is the same: clear vision, decisive action, and a bias for building high-performance teams that scale.
Philanthropy & Civic Leadership
Service is My Foundation
I’m honored to serve across organizations that strengthen Colorado’s communities and preserve its heritage. My leadership and board involvement include Colorado Parks and Wildlife, VISIT DENVER, the National Western Stock Show, the Colorado Rangers (Assistant Chief and Trustee), the Douglas County EDC, Colorado Concern, the Denver Police Foundation, and the Colorado Symphony.
Beyond these roles, my family and I are passionate about giving back—volunteering through our church and supporting initiatives that empower families, fatherhood, and education. Service isn’t just a duty; it’s a lifelong commitment to building stronger communities across our state.
